Bolzano

An excursion to Bolzano... and beyond
From the Passiria Valley, you can also reach the regional capital, Bolzano, the old mercantile city at the interface of two cultures. The proud Gothic church, the romantic Obstplatz, the Walterplatz, the fabled Rosengarten crest with its vertical cliffs on the horizon: Countless impressions and sensory delights. In Bolzano, you can visit the Ötzi Museum, dedicated to the prehistoric man from the glacier, and the MM Museum, the castle museum of Sigmundskron Castle.

And Vipiteno, the Fugger City, invites you to explore and linger. Daily trips into the Dolomites and to northern Italy are included in our weekly programme. The Lake Garda is well worth a visit, with its olive orchards, limestone cliffs, and slender cypresses and pines.

Poking about in the surroundings

The excellent location of the Passiria Valley makes it a great starting point for explorations of nearby sights, such as the regional capital, Bolzano. The exciting destinations to visit in Bolzano include the Ötzi Museum, the Messner Mountain Museum, and thecountless beautiful fortresses and castles of the region.

South Tyrol Nature Museum

In theLandesmuseum für Naturkunde (regional museum of natural history), the landscape and natural history of South Tyrol are on display.
