An excursion to Bolzano... and beyond
From the Passiria Valley, you can also reach the regional capital, Bolzano, the old mercantile city at the interface of two cultures. The proud Gothic church, the romantic Obstplatz, the Walterplatz, the fabled Rosengarten crest with its vertical cliffs on the horizon: Countless impressions and sensory delights. In Bolzano, you can visit the Ötzi Museum, dedicated to the prehistoric man from the glacier, and the MM Museum, the castle museum of Sigmundskron Castle.
And Vipiteno, the Fugger City,invites you to explore and linger. Daily trips into the Dolomites and to northern Italy are included in our weekly programme. The Lake Garda is well worth a visit, with its olive orchards, limestone cliffs, and slender cypresses and pines.

South Tyrol Nature Museum
In the Landesmuseum für Naturkunde (regional museum of natural history), the landscape and natural history of South Tyrol are on display. Interesting rotating exhibits are shown on the ground floor (approx. 200 sq. m.). Educational museum offerings round out the experience. The path through the exhibit parallels the passage of time. Models, dioramas, experiments and multimedia stations provide a view into the geologic history of South Tyrol, and the birth and development of habitat conservation.
